Yes indeed. Although the podcast will be dominated by ska and reggae, I will mix it up with genres as varied as jazz and blues to hardcore and metal. It'll suck, I promise. Episode #1 is up already:

I'll try and post every time there's a new episode. Enjoy!
Oh yeah and if someone could make an icon, that would be cool. I'm thinking a rasta walrus or something stupid like that. Also, try to guess who does the ska and reggae versions of each song and maybe I'll think about possibly congratulating you. Maybe.

Yeah good job making a ska show and putting a bunch of non-ska on there. What are you trying to do, culture me? I will not be so easily manipulated, sir! Put the ska covers up right away and we'll forget this whole thing ever happened. |

Here's are the reggae versions of who did your tracks. I don't need to guess.
1. Toots and the Maytals
2. Third World (ew!)
3. Slim Smith
4. Johnny Nash
5. Byron Lee & The Dragonaires was at least one band who did "Night Train"
6. Derrick Harriot
7. Tony Tribe
8. Bob Andy
9. Yami Bolo
10. ?

Everything's right except 2, 4, 5, 6, and 9. I'm using a couple newish tracks too, so some of those should be a lot easier now!
Cary, I haven't started mixing it yet, and thanks to you, we'll all have to wait an extra week. You'll have to answer to the rest of your classmates now.
Oh yeah and thank you Dana for figuring out who else voiced the rhythm used on "Rearrange" by the Gladiators. That was bothering me for a couple days.

Cool, well those artists did versions, but I guess not the ones you are using. I'm glad you aren't using a Third World or Johnny Nash track, those covers are kind of bad! And if you ever have a riddim question again, feel free to IM me personally.

Oh and Dana, I'm going on Amazon and ordering "Reggae Girl" right after I finish writing this. I've been wanting it for a good while!

Let it be known, that Cary shall stumble, intoxicated, into the bowels of College Park, MD every New Years Eve, grasp his trusty trombone, and belt out some tuneskis.

I'm doing a two part of some of my favorite jazz, and they're sure to become some of your favorites too!
Enjoy!
