I'm listening now as I am up so early for no real reason. You have a very good voice for broadcast, very "Casey Casem." Or may it's that your voice isn't clipping, which most people's voices do when recording these things.

Overall a wide mix of songs that work well together. My only complaint is that "Take This" comes out of just one side of the headphones, which is to be expected, but throws off the flow a bit.

Odd. Looking at the waveform right now, the RTY track is definitely in stereo. The cassette its self is not a very high quality recording, but I think that it's cool to hear how they sounded in the very early days.
As for the voice clipping...it's a result of my very cheap mic. There's no windscreen, so it doesn't take much to make it pop. The key is in positioning/distance and it's been a while since I last experimented. |

Well you must have the mic positioned perfectly. Like I said, there is NO clipping! Yeah!

That's where Adobe Audition comes into play. It helps a lot with that and the background music makes it harder to hear.
People assume that they need to be right up against the mic, but they are designed to pick you up from a short distance away. Angling the mic by 45 degrees is the way to go too.
Yep. I did learn a few things from the audio production class that I took a few years ago. |
